That sounds likely.
The Type S is due for launch in 2022 (probably Q3-Q4) and that might be when things ramp up overall.

That makes sense, silver makes sense since it'll be such a common color but you'd think red would've been a pre-order choice instead of a color like white.

Today the dealership called me to advise that although I am first in line, the allocation they received from Acura does not include any 6MT in Blue. Only CVT is available to him in Blue as of today. My choices for 5MT are Red (ugh no), White/Red, or Liquid Carbon/Black. I turned those down, so dealer dude is looking for a Blue/White manual car (I assume from other dealers) or to find out when the factory will allocate the color combo I’ve requested in my “reservation.”

I can wait; my guess back in November was that I’d get a ‘23 Integra in the October ‘22 timeframe. But at present I anticipate mid-July. The dealer will keep me posted. I told dude that I’ll make a nice sale out of this…Want heated steering wheel, lighted front A-emblem, and other stuff.

Sorry to hear they won’t get yours in the first allocation. Interesting they are offering additional colors and combos to you beyond the initial preorder offering! I wouldn’t have selcted Liquid Carbon if it came with a black interior.

Yes, of course. I am wondering if I am misunderstanding your question. That is what I had hoped — to get an initial allocation based on a very early reservation the first day.

not shopping yet, waiting to see if they will offer a Type S, based on the Civic Si but hopefully with SH-AWD

My partner got treated like shit at Gold Coast last year. And months later, I gave them another chance. They ignored me. They can fuck right off. I don’t have experience with TOaks Acura, but I work not far from the SB dealership. They have been nice as pie, so I’m happy to pursue a deal with them.

To be fair, the reservation list here has 91 responses, not even 20% of the reservations Acura got on the first day, so not really a representative sample set for much. I assume Acura based their color options on their past sales and those of competitors.

I think it is a reasonable sample size to draw conclusions from. The MT/CVT ratio isn't that far off from the numbers Acura reported.
