Oh man, I am intrigued by the idea of Apple CarPlay info showing up in the gauge cluster. Being able to see nav info could be pretty neat, although glancing at the infotainment screen for that (quickly and safety, of course) doesn’t seem like too much of a hardship. Either way, it’s definitely interesting,

And speaking of tech, also very curious if Acura is going to do the piped-in sound thing in Sport mode a la the Civic Si. (And if so, I’m guessing you could shut off any fake noises in Individual mode if that’s not your thing.)

I’ve watched a few reviews of the 2022 Si but didn’t catch they played engine sounds through the speakers. Hope it can be turned off for sure if that comes to the Integra.

I remember one of the Civic Si’s customizable gauges is a boost gauge. Hoping that will be on the Integra too.

I drove the Elantra N today (more on that in the Elantra N thread on Sunday...), but speaking of cool digital dashes, that one is really something.

And I didn't know Apply CarPlay Maps could show on the Integra digital dash. That is cool!

Is that a thing on any manual?
I guess that would be helpful when learning but should become obsolete soon there after.
I own a manual that beeps in reverse which is reassuring that it's not in the adjacent first gear.

My current Audi A5 2011 shows the gear. Our Civic Si does not. Sometimes 3/5 or 4/6 get missed/mixed....

Cool. I've missed those shift combos too but only a handful of times in 20 yrs. Watch, now that I say that I'll jack up the Integra shifts first time out!

On the bright side, reverse adjacent to 5th means you're a lot less likely to go nowhere/stall it out vs roll forward in first!

It looks like this is kinda-sorta confirmed based on the spec sheet, as I’m seeing Active Sound Control listed. Wondering if it will be noise-canceling, piped-in sound for Sport mode, or a combination of both.

EDIT: Offered w/ Tech Package, but not base or A-Spec only.

I would love to be able to turn off fake noises in Individual mode, but if these are all the settings, my guess is any fake noises will be part of the setting for Engine.

Hmmmm… you might be right, and if it’s set up like the Si, piped-in sounds may not be defeatable if the engine is set to Sport mode. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Just remember to put it back in if you’re going on the track. I heard Jack from Savagegeese removed the fake sound, and then had trouble shifting because he couldn’t hear the engine with his helmet on.

Ah this is useful--should any passengers complain about the pumped-in sound, I'm going to tell them it's a safety feature so I can hear the engine through my helmet. Brilliant!

In my current Honda (2015 Accord V6 EX-L) someone on driveaccord.net posted how to get into the developer menus. There was one default setting that made the sound system have less bass that you could switch off via the menus. The pain of it, is that every time I get a new battery, I have to figure out how to do it all over again because it resets to default. I'm sure someone will figure out how to defeat the piped in noises, and post it here or somewhere else.

In BMWs, "coding" is popular method to defeat/add/change settings and values for the vehicle. There are plenty of apps that allow alot of "customisation". Maybe someone with alot of Honda/Acura software knowledge can steer the community in the "right direction"?
