This a good chart that compares the Integra to the likes of the Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 and the BMW 228i Gran Coupe. It's certainly just as appealing if not more than the Germans.

Yeah I'm getting sick and tired of the "gran coupe" nonsense the Germans have been doing.oh man, just looking at that BMW makes me feel nauseous

Same here. I'm glad that Acura didn't turn the Integra into a four door "coupe"
Perhaps we should make this a separate thread but I think the (hypothetical) comparison on Type S will be interesting
Off the top of my head some of the more obvious competitors are the S3, M235i, CTR, and the IS300/350. The biggest known downside(s) I see is a lack of awd and probably the hp number (i'm assuming ~280). If it gets the CTR's 6sp then it'll be basically the only 'luxury' car in this bunch with a stick, but I'm not sure that'll be enough.

lets say it's 43xxxk, 280hp, 6sp, FWD... putting aside markups the summarized high level points seem to be something like:
S3 - 45k, 306hp, auto, awd
M235i - 46k, 302hp, auto, awd
CTR - 39(?), 315, 6sp, FWD
IS300 - 42k, 241/260hp, autp, rwd/awd
IS350 - 43/46k, 311hp, auto, rwd/awd
The lack of an available awd seems like a big downgrade in this comparison to me. Overall it would sit in a weird spot in the current market. I see a couple primary buyers based on the comparison:
1. The die hard clutch fans - these folks aren't gonna look at the other lux cars but they're probably more performance oriented and would probably prefer the CTR or otherwise be unsatisfied with the detuned engine pairing.
2. Fine with auto and want luxury with some adrenaline - if there isn't an optional auto this may not work for many of them. The type S would surely be better equipt at similar price points than anything german but it's also lower HP, a less prestigious name, no awd, and there could be some boy racer flair to the styling.

Amazing looking, fast and a sharp handler. But lease only. I intend to keep my Teggy a long time and Alfas reliability is questionable at best.
