Cool to see the compare with the A-Spec. Look forward to seeing some test-drive videos and how the 320 HP, torque, brakes, wheels all add to the driving experience. Not likely to switch from my 6MT A-Spec, but would sure love to take a test drive in one of these Type S's.

Congrats to those of you who could hold out. The type S really seems like it will be worth it based on the specs and looks. I had thought it would be more like the Civic R than it seems to be. The only strong objection I have is the wide 19 inch tires/wheels/fender flares - but I guess with all that power, it's needed. Everything else is either perfect or nearly so. I took delivery of a BMW 330e xDrive in late December. Back in the office after nearly 3 years of WFH. Officially passed my Accord down to my son who was pretty much using it daily anyway. Even if I could've waited until June, I would no doubt have to wait even longer to not have to pay over MSRP.

Well, have been thinking about switching out the tires, based on just about every review I've seen saying the SI tires make a huge difference for SI driving. (Though I'm a cheapie, so will probably wait until the current tires wear out...)

Other than that, I doubt I'd do much. Would appear the Type S is built around that 2.0/320Hp engine and what it needs - better brakes, suspension, tires, etc. Am curious - what would others look to upgrade on the A-Spec?

This seems like an Integra. I look forward to a test drive. I can compare to my Giulia. The summer tires are nice, but in the NE, I would need AS.

The "refreshed" Giulia didn't do much refreshing. Basically new headlights and most owners like the current version. People were expecting more. But this Integra S Type is what I was looking for. I knew they would release this. I'll keep following for sure. The RPM of 6500 for 320hp is something I need to look into. Giulia gets 280 at 5200.

Things I am now used to from driving the Giulia that I would like to see:

Adaptive Headlights
Heated Steering
Auto start from the fob
Ability to customize display (Turbo Boost and Torque readouts, G Force readouts etc.)
Auto start comfort setting (heated seats and steering wheel turn on when <39 degrees)
Rear heated seats.
Wireless phone charger.

It's funny that most cars I've owned had a sunroof because I thought I would use it. Most of the time I actually forget its there

Rarely used the sunroof in my cars either. Its nice on more luxurious cars but on the Integra Type S it should be the least of our concerns. I think Acura also either included a boost gauge or potentially could with a software update.

I know some manufacturers include sunroofs as options, but Honda/Acura aren't in that category--if you look at the options currently available for all Honda/Acura models, they're interior and exterior features that dealership service centers can install in a handful of hours. Tires, wheels, spoilers, illumination, etc.. You'd have to source sunroof install from a shop--I'm sure it's doable, but worth it financially? To each their own.

As for the Orchid interior--looks great to me!

52K. I am speechless. Well I guess anyone who would pay that much (with dealer markup) for a Civic Type R, would certainly spend that much for an Integra Type S.

The type R has more heritage behind it and even with that it is overpriced. Acura dropped the ball with this one. They could have sold a lot of units with the last ICE civic/integra model. I was looking at the Nissan Z and the new Mustang. I might reconsider those now in order to get a manual gearbox.

Where I live, you can get a manual Integra for $2k under MSRP. Civic SI’s are still going for over sticker. TLX Type S’s are going for $3.5 k under MSRP here too. If you like the Integra Type S and can wait a year, I can see $48k +/- being possible.
