Acura just sent out a press release on the 2024 Type S with two teaser photos and the excellent-sounding short YT video below. The two big news items are:
1. 320 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque
2. The car will officially debut next month at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach (April 14-16)

As everyone is already pointing out, that's 5 more horsepower as the Civic Type-R and the same torque rating.
I'm digging the fender flares.

320 Horsepower Confirmed for Acura Integra Type S; Full Reveal Next Month
March 20, 2023
Acura today announced the highly-anticipated 2024 Integra Type S will launch this summer with an impressive 320 horsepower, 310 lb.-ft. of torque and class-leading power-to-weight ratio, taking Integra performance to its highest levels yet. With power derived from a race-proven, high-revving 2.0-liter VTEC turbocharged engine and paired exclusively with a precise, short-throw 6-speed manual transmission, the Integra Type S promises ultimate street performance delivered with premium appointments.
Geared for a new generation of enthusiast drivers, the 2024 Integra Type S will be officially revealed next month ahead of the 48th annual Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Sounds great. I will like the fender flares just fine, but I like integrated/molded flared fenders much more than add on ones. Molded one make you feel like they really took the time and molded a proper fender for the wheel/tire setup of the car. I think that's one of the reasons the new FL5 Type R looks better than the FK8.

Yeah, I think it mostly comes from a cost-cutting perspective here but it's rather interesting that especially with an aftermarket wing it's likely the Integra will end up looking more "boy racer" than the FL5.

Obviously will have to wait until the reveal but tentatively I don't mind the tack on look.

For specializing in JDM cars he really misses a lot here. No way it's gonna be 3400lbs, my money is on 3290ish. Spends a lot of time not saying much. Even looking at older pictures when he could have used stuff that better showed off the angles of the car from the recent Acura performance event.
With the Integra Type S being revealed today Acura shared some more details about the Integra Type S' performance.

Most Powerful and Engaging Integra Ever
At the heart of the Integra Type S is a high-revving DOHC turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC® engine with direct injection, unique throttle tuning for quick throttle response and 33% greater displacement than the Integra's standard 1.5-liter engine. With 320 horsepower (SAE net @ 6,500 rpm) and 310 lb.-ft. of torque (SAE net @ 2,600 to 4,000 rpm) – an increase of 120 hp and 118 lb.-ft. over the standard Integra – the Type S model has both class-leading power and a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of just 10.1 pounds per horsepower.

A new high-flow exhaust system, exclusive to the Integra Type S, unleashes the full potential of the award-winning 2.0-liter turbocharged (K20C1) engine. In combination with software tuning, it gives the 4-cylinder engine its highest-ever horsepower rating in North America, and a class-leading specific output of 160 hp/liter.

The less restrictive straight-through exhaust design also enhances the driving experience with a stirring Type S-exclusive exhaust note. Thanks to an active exhaust valve, Integra Type S delivers a distinct auditory experience in each driving mode, and when it's time to crank it up, Sport+ mode turns it up to 11 with show stopping "pops and bangs" for the most engaging experience possible.

Acura is known for making great shifting manual transmissions, and the Integra Type S features the only manual transmission in its class, a precise, short-throw 6-speed with an automatic rev-matching system for an intimate and rewarding connection with the driver. A standard helical-type limited-slip differential (LSD) puts the engine's substantial power to the pavement effectively.

Interesting how they really highlight on the exhaust system. Now I am even more eager to hear how it sounds and how different it is from the Type R.
