While I’ve been obsessing over the Integra, I’ve watched a bunch of Civic Si videos, and I believe Tedward made an offhand comment that made a lot of sense to me. He bought the car as a daily, and when asked if he regretted not waiting for the GR Corolla or the CTR, he emphatically replied “no,“ citing that by the time he would be able to get his hands on one of them, that would be so much more time and money spent on consumables, fuel, maintenance, etc.
Tomorrow, I’ll be picking up my GX470 from the shop and paying for a 130K-mile service, rear rotor and pad replacements, and a front CV axle replacement. All before I continue to enjoy 14mpg for the rest of the summer until I can pick up my Integra, whenever that may be. Needless to say, I found myself nodding along to the comment above when I heard it. As awesome as both of those cars seem, I’m fine with not waiting around for something that’s going to be more expensive and probably much harder to obtain.
