I'm actually wondering who was actually invited to the event and/or who has been provided with test cars up to this point, so it's hard for me to say what I'm looking forward to. Sofyan at Redline is the only one I know of that I'm interested in hearing a follow-up from so far. Reading-wise, I'm sure I'd like to see what The Drive, Car & Driver, and Jalopnik has to say (although I admit that I don't visit Jalopnik very often these days). As far as video reviewers go, I'm mostly curious to see how the car stacks up compared to the Civic Si, so I'd be psyched if TheTopher, Tedward, or Throttle House got their hands on it. (Apparently I only like car YouTuber channels that start with the letter T.)

I do know someone from Jalopnik is going to Austin this week--he posted an article asking if anyone had any questions that they'd like him to look into. Throttle House is great. Tyson Hugie was there this week, and he's pretty good as well--conveniently fits your "T" requirement as well.

Reviews post in the morning. Feels a bit like Christmas Eve. Dreams of fast shiny things.

But there is always at least a little coal in the stocking. They have to criticize something or what’s the point? Will be interesting to see what folks come up with after some seat of the pants experiences.

Rear seat headroom is a real limitation that we've already seen. And not that much power seems to be a common comment. Neither is an issue for me.
My biggest concern is how challenging to get in and out. My wife will be getting a knee replacement this summer. And my knees and ankles aren't getting any better.

The big question marks for me are the Active Sound Control and how much of a difference the adaptive dampers make in the various drive modes. Though I'd be lying to myself if I said I wasn't already fully on board.

Here's my guess about the criticisms: Reviewers liked the 11th gen Civics. They'll like the Integra but suggest it should have been part of the Civic lineup - like Honda held back a Civic Hatchback Si to charge more for an Integra. The takeaway will be that Integra builds on the already very good Civic, but there's a big price difference.

They'll point out the $8500 difference between the 6MT Civic Si and the 6MT Integra, and ask (but not answer) if what you get for that $8500 is worth it.

Just my (cynical) guess. I'm eager to hear impressions tomorrow but preparing for negativity.

But still in the end We just have to justify if we think those features on the integra brings 8.5k of value over the SI. For me I am getting older so I know lumbar support and power seats for the front row is important. Plus hopefully how much it can soften the ride in comfort mode. To me that brings continuous value for me. They said they tuned the integra differently so let's hope initially 8.5k value out of the gate

Definitely. I just started watching some of their videos and I’ve been impressed.

So in the current market, if I get the Integra at MSRP, then the difference is not $8.5K but somewhere between $3.5K and 5.5K, which is more palatable. That's my logic today, anyway...

Practically, yeah there’s not THAT much price difference. And the CTR will be marked up even more!

Tomorrow, I’ll be picking up my GX470 from the shop and paying for a 130K-mile service, rear rotor and pad replacements, and a front CV axle replacement. All before I continue to enjoy 14mpg for the rest of the summer until I can pick up my Integra, whenever that may be. Needless to say, I found myself nodding along to the comment above when I heard it. As awesome as both of those cars seem, I’m fine with not waiting around for something that’s going to be more expensive and probably much harder to obtain.

Good perspective. My 2012 MDX also has 130K miles on it and I get a whopping 17-18 mpg with premium. Just can't wait to test drive an Integra.

I've seen so much "Is this Civic Si/Touring/Sport a good deal at $5,000+ ADM?" juxtaposed by people complaining that the 6MT Integra is prohibitively expensive even though the number of dealerships willing to sell the Integra at MSRP is seemingly much higher... but I'd be shocked if any of the reviewers address that outright.

I suspect most/all will compare the Si MSRP directly against the A-Spec + Tech MSRP and the big scary price gap between them, but will they address the elephant in the room that is rampant dealer markups on the Si (and seemingly all 2022 Civics)? I highly doubt it.

I think rear seat headroom will be the only design issue, and expect other common knocks will be the lack of ventilated seats, heated rear seats, and rear vents... other than those things... it seems like the Integra has it all, providing it handles as well or better than the Si.

It feels like Christmas Eve, indeed!

I agree with @RUNN1N on the lack of rear vents. Hard to call a car luxury without that these days. My '17 GTI had that; nice feature.
