Use resources to improve the loose nut behind the wheel.
Seriously, real track time even in the beginning levels can totally change the experience. Make it safer, more fun, and temper the urge to push your limits on public roads.
Going faster because you have more motor can be fun but not nearly as rewarding as just taking a better line and out manuvering someone. And so fun leaving someone through the twisties because you have a strategy for the turns and a commitment.
EDIT: thinking further about this today, the idea that investing in your driving skills as the best mod makes so much sense. For one thing, you take it from car to car.
There is a risk of improving skill though. You might find you enjoy a lower powered car all the more, as we can actually use skills more than in a really fast car. We’ve had them including two McLarens, sooo fast, and get fast very quickly. But in real life gee when do you get a chance to use it for more than a fraction of a minute?
If I want a faster car I get those keys. But for real life getting across town or to the next town, this Integra power and handling level may be the most satisfying at any price. Why mess with it?
Heck, I might actually prefer this initial model to a Type S or R. Our Gen 9 Si fills my specific performance needs in a daily, and we get 30 mpg around town. Really useful fun.
