Hello,

Bought my 6MT last month at my local dealer (at MSRP!), been enjoying it so far. Had a very shortlist of cars on my radar- this vs IS350 F Sport. Chose the Integra cuz it was the more financially reasonable choice. I know this car gets a lot of shade, especially when compared to the Si. Ironically, I always wanted an Si- but with my wants/needs & with the current market, paying a markup for a civic with manual cloth seats was off the table.

Stuff I’ve added: window tint and the rear diffuser upgrade. Kinda regret forgetting about the heated steering wheel option, still waiting for the spare tire kit to come off back order (I was told ETA was late December for my area)

Some unexpected likes about the Integra:

AcuraLink: I was weary about getting a Honda/Acura as I’ve witnessed the frequency of thefts among my friends and family throughout the years. Finding out about AcuraLink and the Remote tier that’s available on the 6MT gave me some peace of mind (incidentally, the Si for some reason is not eligible for the anti theft features from the Remote tier of HondaLink. That doesn’t seem to get brought up enough when comparing the 2 cars & it really should)

Dynamic cruise control: the gauge cluster animations of nearby cars around you when using cruise control is pretty awesome; I’ve only seen this on Teslas and it’s a pretty cool flex to see this on the Integra (again, I assume the Si cannot do this as it does not share the same all-digital cluster; something that doesn’t get brought up in direct comparisons & it really should)

My favorite thing about the Integra is a nostalgia vibe I never expected. The first car I ever bought under my name was a ‘74 Camaro. As you can imagine, it holds a lot of sentimental value for me. I was not expecting the hood profile of the Integra from the driver’s seat to resemble my Camaro’s hood- it’s the 3 line peaks and its length that really pull it off. And even the diamond pentagon grill of the Integra resembles the 5-sided grill of my Camaro. Ironic that a 1.5 liter Acura would give me nostalgic vibes over a 5.7 liter Chevy but I guess that’s the beauty of being a car enthusiast- people gravitate to certain cars for their own special reasons

Cheers to all fellow owners! Hope to get more involved in the forum

Congratulations on getting your Integra @ryanizzle! Welcome to the forum! Did you get a chance to test drive an IS 350F? If so how did it compare to the Integra? Also are you planning on adding more mods?

Unfortunately, I did not test drive the 350- I called the Lexus dealer a day before the car was scheduled to arrive at the lot to take my name off reservations

But if I had to guess, the 350 will most definitely be faster. While the ELS system on Tech Integras sounds great, the Mark Levinson system on the 350 that was reserved under my name would’ve been on a whole different level. But I would imagine our Integras being more nimble in tight corners due to power/weight ratios. And the price, gas mileage, and up-to-date features make the Integra a solid choice

I was interested in a Hondata tune, but I’m honestly fine with the car’s factory performance and wouldn’t mind keeping it stock through its powertrain warranty. As far as looks go, the Majestic Black Pearl paint makes the car look near-perfect as is; just needed the upgraded rear diffuser to complete the look in my eyes

Same bro, exact same spec. Love the car, just got it home. Weird thing for me is that the steering wheel and shifter are larger in YouTube videos. Made my hands feel weirdly big . Should have test drove first but would have bought anyway.

Pretty sure I’ve seen ya on the road! I’ve only seen one other Majestic Black Pearl Teggy in the Bay. One Liquid Carbon and Blue around in me too in Contra Costa

welcome to the club! Super jealous of your 6mt:LOL:

Black Pearl is a beautiful color- I was torn between Liquid Carbon vs Black but all the front fascia trimming blends well with Black and a lot of people complain about the Integra not getting a black painted roof (I agree) but it’s a non-issue if the car is already black 👍

Yeah the stock shifter is a little on the slim side but I like its looks better than the Si shifter & I can already imagine 1st-degree burns on my hand from just looking at the new Type R’s shifter lol

Nice, a fellow local owner! Maybe, the Oakland dealer had 2 black 6MT Integras on the lot, so you could be seeing my doppelgänger

If it’s any consolation, my wife was pissed that I got a stick shift car that she can’t drive- I’ve been teaching her with my previous car to make up for it

So going 6MT wasn’t without its risks lol
