On Acura's page for reserving the 2023+ Acura Integra, they state: "By completing the Reserve Program, you will be reserving an Acura vehicle with model year and options to be confirmed by your selected dealer and subject to availability and production restrictions."

Nothing more than that. I would've wanted Liquid Carbon with the Orchid interior, but that's not going to be available. Interior color is more important to me than exterior, so reserved a 6MT Apex Blue.

I wonder if this whole reservation thing is to avoid the debacle with the TLX that nearly lost Acura a lot of money. I bought a TLX for my wife last May. It was one of the last cars to have incentives because they made too many of them. Our dealer had 70 of them listed in their inventory, and I had no trouble getting the color combo/trim/drivetrain we wanted, because they had just about every combo in stock. The car shortage dried up that inventory fast and Acura took a lot of customers away from competitors that had limited available stock and huge markups. If it wasn't for the the shortage, I wonder what the TLX incentives would've grown to?

Congrats on the reservation @benzaccord! Apex Blue is still a great color choice with the Orchid Interior. I'm sure the issues with the TLX have something to do with the online reservations, along with supply issues happening across the industry. The last thing Acura wants have Integras sit on dealer lots.

I was interested in the new Civic SI but was disappointed with the standard equipment (no fog lights, no seat heat, no side mirror signal lights, no wireless phone charger, etc)
The other unexpected car that I never would have dreamed to have wanted is a BMW 330e. Seems my rental reservation during my winter vacation got lost, and instead of the Mazda 3 I reserved, I ended up in a 2018 BMW 330e. My kids have newer 3 series cars, and somehow, I was never that impressed the few times I've driven them. Having the 330e for a few days, and having such good performance while getting 35 MPG, definitely was a real nice balance. The ~ $6300 (my state gives $500 in addition to the federal) in tax incentives almost brings the price down to that of an Integra.

No, liking the BMW 330e was by accident. But I could see myself liking an Audi A4, but not the Mercedes C class, I probably would take a Lexus IS 300 AWD though (but they're all way over sticker, unlike the BMW, which is actually @MSRP or below locally). The appeal of the 330e is the tax rebate and fuel savings - which is unique to BMW. I know Volvo has something in this space as well, but that's also not my taste. The ironic part of all of this, is when I bought my Acura Legend LS Sedan 5 speed 28 years ago, I was also shopping BMW 3 series cars. I test drove the Legend out of frustration because I couldn't find a lightly used 325i at the time.

I received order confirmation with color specs along with order no. from Acura. The dealer emailed me next day, but did not mention colors. He did mention that all dealers in US would be receiving one integra initially for test drive purposes (they can't sell demo for 60 days). He went on to say that the dealership has been allotted one additional integra with a crt and they do not know when they will receive ordered cars.

I think you're implying that the Demo is going to be a 6MT? I wonder if all dealers will get the demo as a 6MT- the one dealer I found on YouTube also said that their demo is going to be a 6MT. I would definitely want to test drive the 6MT before I finalize my purchase. I had anticipated that the demo's would be CVT's and that would ruin it for me.

Yes, demo will be A-spec with 6MT.

so a total of $1000 down for a car that you don't even know the final price on? When/if my dealer does that, it will be them giving me $500 (back).
