As much as I’m looking forward to the sweet sweet sounds of that 1.5L four as I row my own gears, I am also very much looking forward to listening to music in this thing! Has anyone else here had experience with one of these sound systems in another Acura model? I am super excited to hear it for myself.

Curious about this and how good the Jewel Eye LED headlights are.

Not sure how different they will be, but I watched a Civic Si POV night drive video and the headlights seemed to do the job well.

Yeah, I saw The Toph do his night drive (when he also got a check engine light! 😲) and they looked great. IIHS also rates Civic lights as great. Past Acura lights (ILX) haven’t gotten as good ratings, so I’m wondering if they’re as good as Civic or Acura’s current lighting.

Ha! Yep, that’s the same one! It seems like the CEL was a fluke, but certainly something to keep an eye out for. Honestly his videos have gone a long way convincing me that the Integra really is the best choice for me. Very stoked. (Also nice to see driving vids in my neck of the woods, as he’s dealing with the same crappy roads and crappy weather as I am, more or less.)

We’ve had a TLX with Technology package that comes with a similar system. Unfortunately there was a defect in one of the cables so we hadn’t been able to enjoy it to its fullest extent until 3 weeks ago when they fixed it. Now that everything is fixed, I will say it’s the best factory system I’ve had sound wise. I haven’t heard the Bose system in the Civic. I can say that there are differences in even Bose systems. I had Bose sound systems in the same year Nissan and Acura cars and the Acura one was miles ahead. So will the system in the Integra be as good as the one in the TLX? We won’t know for sure until we try it. You do hear the full spectrum of sound in the TLX system. I will say that I used to sell car stereo systems when I was young and I built a crazy system in the Volvo that I used to have because I got everything at cost and knew how to install everything myself. So yes, you definitely could build a better system as I had done back then. But the ELS system is up there as far as factory systems go.

Awesome! Yeah, I’m fine with not pulling my dash or doors at this point (I’ve done this in the past on a few vehicles with… erm, we’ll say varying degrees of success 😬).

High-end factory systems seem to be kinda polarizing; I have the Mark Levinson system in my GX, and although I have enjoyed it personally, a lot of folks seem to really not like it (though this may partially stem from an inability to easily swap out the head unit, as the audio & nav systems are tied into the HVAC controls via the touchscreen). But I am pumped to try this ELS system out!

We have a 2019 RDX Advance. It has the top 16 speaker ELS system with the overhead speakers. I LOVE it. I think the sound is fantastic. I had a terrific Harmon Kardon system in my Saab which I loved (blew out the sub and replaced it; ran the battery dead cranking some jams waiting in line), and this is significantly better. I don't play it often because it's my wife's daily, and when we're together she doesn't like her tunes dynamic the way I do. But when I crank it, I've really been blown away.
Disclaimer - I am not a true audiophile, although I think I understand what it means to be one. Car systems by their nature can't be as premium as a great home system, but the premium ELS is easily the best factory system I've heard in a car.
Just another factor that adds value to the top line trim, IMO.
