The button may be to deactivate the auto-dimming mirror functionality?
The button may be to deactivate the auto-dimming mirror functionality?Just got my new car! I noticed folks in these forums posting about no HomeLink and just wanted to confirm. My rearview mirror does have buttons on them that typically implies a garage opener, but pressing on them doesn't seem to do anything compared to online videos I'm seeing for how the HomeLink system operates.
Does that sound right for other Integra owners out there? I expected no buttons at all given it's not supported apparently (can't seem to find any mention in the manual), but it's strange that the buttons are there.
Nope, I have a power button presumably for that. Then three other buttons labeled 1/2/3. It looks similar to the rearview mirrors on HomeLink setup YouTube guides for the latest civics. Except my buttons don't do anything. The button may be to deactivate the auto-dimming mirror functionality?
Nope. My guess is the integra was supposed to come with homelink but supply shortages or a last minute change meant they didn't do it.Nope, nothing seems to react on any press. Does yours not have the buttons at all? That would be a strange manufacturing quirk.
That is really interesting. I wonder where the “functionality” of homelink lives? Is it just in the mirror or is it wired to something inside the car? I’ve seen cars that don’t come with Homelink that offer it as a dealer installed option where they just swap out the mirror. If you could just get power to it, I’d be interested if it would work.View attachment 1893
Sure, this is what it looks like. Seems to be just a defunct home link but it's sorta awkward. I wonder if there's any way to enable it.
I think you're right and the homelink is within the mirror itself, and just needs the appropriate harness to power it up.That is really interesting. So I work at a dealership and I have a customer asking me why they stopped putting the garage opener in cars. I was surprised to find that this is not standard equipment, and according to a worker at the Honda factory, this rearview mirror is from a Civic. Not sure how it ended up in your Integra...my guess is maybe parts shortages?Just got my new car! I noticed folks in these forums posting about no HomeLink and just wanted to confirm. Also- maybe the dealer did it? Seems strangeSo I work at a dealership and I have a customer asking me why they stopped putting the garage opener in cars. Welcome to the forum @84732acura. Is there an alternative you/your dealership has been recommending to customers interested in getting a garage opener? So I work at a dealership and I have a customer asking me why they stopped putting the garage opener in cars. If that's something the factory is doing that brutal quality control just to get cars out. Makes you wonder what other parts they could be swapping out for something else.So I work at a dealership and I have a customer asking me why they stopped putting the garage opener in cars.
