Issue I am trying to solve

I have a 90 Integra that I just installed a strut tower cross brace on and had to remove the air boost valve as well as the dash port diaphram. Since doing this I am having an intermittent issue were I put the car into reverse and it high revs causing it to want to accelerate with out having.my.foit on the gas and pushs through the brakes. Because other things I have read ses you can remove those two pieces with no issues so just trying to figure out if what I did is the cause of the problem or if there is another issue.
