Car Wheel Tire Motor vehicle Vehicle

I redeemed the NFT for preordering an Integra, wondering who else on the forums got the NFT? What value do you think it has?

This has been a good excuse for me to get a crash-course in cryptocurrency and NFTs, but I'm not sure an animated pic (essentially a GIF) of the car is really a selling point for me. Perhaps with the car it will enhance the whole value of owning it (i.e. resale someday)? What are your thoughts?

i have it. right now its worth nothing. in the future it'll probably still be worth nothing. doesn't hurt to own it, just have to be realistic that its value is completely arbitrary and speculative, like every other nft

How does owning the NFT work? I've never bought one before. Do you have to sign up somewhere with Acura or another site to view it?

You have to get a digital wallet (I got MetaMask), then use MetaMask's browser to open Acura's link. This gives you access to the NFT, but viewing it is still dicey for me (I admit I haven't fully figured it all out yet). I have no idea how they plan to turn my NFT into my "one-of-a-kind" animated NFT.

Yeah this NFT stuff can sound really complicated for me. I'm curious to see how they make yours a one of one piece as well.

I think it is the coolest thing. I definitely am happy to have received an NFT and is entirely possible that resale will be enhanced if the NFT is sold with the car, especially the upgraded NFT.
It was a total pain in the ass to obtain my NFT. I would not even be able to do it again without help. Suffice it to say you can get started with an iPhone but you need a full desktop Computer to finish the process. This is clearly noted in the instructions as one goes along step to step. It was like an electronic scavenger hunt to claim the NFT. My NFT number is in the low 100s.
NFTs are artwork, and they do have value if the community says they do. Purchase history is normally available relating to NFTs.
Many NFTs are being sold, some for a little money and some for a lot. If one does not understand the world of cryptocurrency then one probably does not have an appreciation for the NFT side of things.
If you sign up with a crypto exchange, then you can take the free training and start learning about Blockchain technology. You don’t have to buy anything to do that. You can also do this through YouTube without signing up for any particular type of crypto and/or NFT exchange.

The 500 NFTs were available to claim when the car reservations were being made starting with the March 10 reservation system rollout. I don’t know if Acura is still offering the rest of the 500 or if they have all been claimed.

I received the NFT upgrade email. It asks for a VIN which I have put in but says the VIN is invalid. Not sure what I can do. Anyone else have issues?
That’s odd. Maybe Acura has to be informed that you purchased the car, and the dealer is lagging?

I had the same issue in the past 7 days. I reserved mine on 3/10 through Acura of Valley Streams. On June 2, Valley Streams wanted me to take delivery for $3k over msrp. I canceled the reservation and went to another dealership to buy mine for $1k over msrp. Put in that VIN and got invalid message. Today I tried it again and it got through with a congratulation message. However, the NFT in opensea is still not animated (yet), I'll check again tomorrow.
