In Individual Mode you can elect to turn it off. I believe the car starts in the mode it was in for the last drive, so if you leave it in Individual with start/stop off, that should do it. Please correct me if wrong! Is it possible to turn this 'feature' off permanently? It makes little, to no sense, on a 6-MT. Right now I have to turn it off every time I get in the car.
Unfortunately, even if you set it to be turned off in individual mode, when you start you car, it defaults back to normal mode. You’ll either have to hit the idle button or individual button every time you start the car. Don’t understand why the car doesn’t default to individual mode every time.In Individual Mode you can elect to turn it off. You are correct, always ON until you turn it OFF.Unfortunately, even if you set it to be turned off in individual mode, when you start you car, it defaults back to normal mode. We bought a Ford Transit that had the auto stop-start delete, though for that gas guzzler, I wish it had it! LOLSadly this is true of every car on the market. Auto start/stop reverts to on.
Apparently due to the chip shortage some brands actually made models without auto start/stop. I'd love to buy one of those.
