So, if I have one gripe thus far after a few hundred miles, it's that these seats are awful.

I didn't think my ILX seats were terrific, but they were way better than these.

No padding or support, the heaters are awful, there's no ventilation, and they're not even full leather.

I swear, at this rate, the next Acura I buy, I'll just be sitting on a plank of plywood bolted to a frame at the rate they're going downhill.

Anyone else having similar problems?

Other than that, I've really been loving everything about the car..... the practicality improvement of the hatch over the trunk on the ILX is amazing.... the driving experience is surprisingly good.... sound system is great. I do love the way it feels, and the transmission and clutch are awesome. Just, man, these seats. Every time I get in I feel like I'm plopping into a solid wood church pew.

I'm not hating on the Integra (trust me, I was very close to buying one and may very well get a Type-S in a few years when prices calm down), but seat comfort was one of my deciding factors in going with the Mazda 3 Turbo. I rented an Integra on Turo for an entire day to run errands and go on a 2 hour drive, and found the seats a little under padded.

Other observations: the engine sounded nice and was responsive, and I didn't mind the CVT once it was moving, but felt the CVT really sapped acceleration off the line. Also, the car has more NVH than the Mazda, especially road noise.

I had this problem on a long drive, and have been experimenting with adjustments to see if I could make it more comfortable. I found that adjusting so the edge of the seat is higher and supports my legs better worked along with slightly more upright seatback. For reference I’m 6’ tall. This is one area where I wish I had a GTI - those seats were really supportive and I prefer the cloth over the suede.

The seats are definitely a shortcoming when it comes to the luxury of the Integra. For starters, it's Leatherette and not Leather. Leatherette is a synthetic product that was made to feel and look like leather and last longer without having to deal with leather care. It doesn't breathe as well as real leather nor does it contour that well. Your steering wheel is leather wrapped, use that as reference for how real leather should feel. As for the microsuede, it's not bad but probably on the lower end of the spectrum. I'm wondering how long it'll last since the only way to tell the quality of microsuede is by the longevity. I make sure to use a suede brush to flatten the inserts along the nap every so often; thus, I increase the longevity. My biggest gripe is lack of adjustment. I wish there was some headrest adjustment for back and forth. Also, side bolster adjustment would be appreciated since I'm more of a thin/athletic size with a small waist.

And yea, the seat heaters suck lol.

I think I dislike the microsuede/alcantara (recycled water bottles) more than I dislike the fake leather, but in any event, real leather would be worlds better. I contacted Katzkin to see if they'll do aftermarket leather for it. So I may have that done. Maybe at the same time I can get the cushioning improved.
