It's electric - Variable Ratio Electric Power-Assisted Rack-and-Pinion Steering (EPS)Is the steering electric or does it have a hydraulic pump? Many are going electric, my Ram has electric & sounds like the systems of possibly a faulty electronic part.
This is a known problem. They need to fix it. Complain to the national highway transportation safety bureau. I took it to the dealership and they ran all the computer stuff needed but they stated they found nothing wrong with it. I feel like I’m going crazy because the steering wheel pulls back it legit makes me swerve on the road to the point people are beeping at me because I’m swerving but it’s me fighting with the steering wheel to stop pull. It’s not the lane departure, nothing comes up I could be driving in a straight line and the wheel jerks and gets stuck. It’s honestly becoming scary for me and super dangerous
